My background in education laid the groundwork for strong communication, planning, and organizational skills — all essential in project management. As I became more involved in development and research work, I realized how much I could contribute by aligning strategy with impact, especially in community-centered programs. It wasn’t a shift away from education, but rather an expansion into a space where I could multiply its value.
I’m deeply driven by purpose, integrity, and inclusivity. Every project I take on — whether it’s a community survey, a data evaluation, or a women’s empowerment program — must have a clear goal to uplift and improve lives. I believe in strategic action, collaboration, and always keeping the bigger picture in focus. I also value excellence — from how teams are managed to how reports are written.
Working across sectors has given me a well-rounded perspective. In the public sector, I learned the importance of structure, policy alignment, and long-term impact. In the private sector, I honed my ability to adapt quickly, think innovatively, and deliver results under pressure. This blend allows me to navigate complex programs with both empathy and precision.
One standout project was the launch of Uganda’s first Women Entrepreneurs' Social — a networking platform that has now reached over 300 women in business. I was proud to plan and lead this initiative from concept to execution. It has evolved into a movement that strengthens collaboration, learning, and visibility for women entrepreneurs across districts.
I led a large-scale mapping exercise of women involved in agricultural value addition across five districts. This required team coordination, field logistics, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. It was a major success not just in terms of data collection, but in giving visibility to women in underserved economic spaces.
I’ve supported and conducted research with organizations like the Economic Policy Research Centre and Ark International. Topics have included rights-based family planning, gambling’s socio-economic effects, education service delivery, and more. My role often involved data collection, entry, and interpretation to inform policy or development strategies.
I believe in creating a shared vision and motivating each team member to take ownership. I foster trust, provide clear direction, and recognize individual strengths. Whether I’m leading a small community team or coordinating with international partners, my focus is on building synergy and delivering impact together.
I’m proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as digital communication platforms like email and internet-based tools for collaboration. I’ve also trained in advanced digital marketing, which helps with outreach, engagement, and visibility of programs. Data entry and analysis are key parts of my toolkit as well.
I’m results-driven, well-organized, and grounded in strategic thinking. I plan ahead, set clear milestones, and communicate frequently. Even when challenges arise, I stay solution-focused and lean on my experience to navigate uncertainty. Working in community development has taught me to stay calm, adaptive, and resilient.
Community service is at the heart of everything I do. It grounds me and reminds me that leadership is about serving others. Through Rotary and other volunteer roles, I’ve seen the real-world impact of education, training, and outreach. Giving back helps me stay aligned with my values.
As the Service Projects Director at the Rotary Club of Kampala Naalya, I’ve led educational programs for vulnerable children in Kamuli District, helping them access learning resources and mentorship. I also support farmer training through Bandera Farmers Network, ensuring that grassroots communities are empowered through knowledge and opportunity.
It’s all about integration and purpose. Many of my volunteer initiatives complement my professional goals — whether it’s program design, training, or stakeholder engagement. I manage my time intentionally and prioritize activities that align with the causes I care about most.
I begin by understanding the vision and goals of the initiative. Then I design structured programs that are realistic, measurable, and aligned with available resources. I create clear timelines, allocate roles, and establish feedback loops to monitor progress. Stakeholder involvement and adaptability are key parts of my process.
I integrate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems into all stages of a project. This includes progress tracking, reporting, and regular reviews. I also work closely with finance teams to ensure compliance and transparency in budgeting. Clear documentation and open communication are part of every collaboration I take on.
I’m always open to new opportunities and partnerships. You can reach me via email or through professional platforms like LinkedIn. If you have a project, idea, or initiative that aligns with community impact, research, or capacity building — I’d love to hear from you.
